CONTEXT

The project is located on the eastern edge of the former Casas Baratas housing estate in Bon Pastor, in direct contact with the Besòs River and the new urban infrastructures. This strategic position acts as a transition between the consolidated residential fabric and the river landscape. The layout of three towers understands this edge condition as an opportunity to stitch together city and territory, articulating the relationship between neighborhood, public space, and open landscape system.

ORGANIZATION

The proposal is structured around a square floor plan with a central core accommodating four dwellings per landing, ensuring efficient circulation and cross ventilation in all typologies. The project reinterprets the horizontality and domestic scale of the Casas Baratas through intermediate spaces and ground-floor passages that extend the public realm into the interior of the complex, establishing a gradual transition between private and collective domains.

MATERIALITY

The construction system is based on a regular structural grid that enables industrialized solutions through precast concrete, CLT, or hybrid systems, optimizing time and resources. The façades, resolved with prefabricated ceramic-finished panels with a horizontal expression, reinforce the identity of the ensemble and its connection to the context, integrating passive and active sustainability strategies to reduce energy demand and environmental impact.
