CONTEXT
La Fíbula is located at the edge between El Prat de Llobregat and the C-31 infrastructure, within an area undergoing urban transformation. The road, with intense traffic flow, generates significant acoustic and environmental impact. In this context, the project acts as a mediator between the growing city and the infrastructure, improving quality of life and redefining this urban edge.

ORGANISATION
The system is organised through a sequence of repeated structural elements that create a continuous rhythm along the route. This modular logic allows adaptation to different situations while maintaining coherence and responding to both existing infrastructure and future urban developments. Beneath the structure, a new public space incorporates pedestrian and bicycle routes, transforming a residual area into an active, accessible and connected environment.

MATERIALITY
The proposal is based on an industrialised and modular construction system. Timber frames define the main rhythm of the structure, while precast concrete vaults form the roof and improve acoustic performance. Lightweight translucent elements at the lower level allow light to pass through and enhance visual permeability. The combination of materials creates an efficient and adaptable intervention that avoids the perception of an opaque barrier while reducing energy consumption and acoustic impact.
