Utopic VisualsCONTEXT
The intervention at Torre Werfen aims to establish a coherent dialogue with its urban surroundings, addressing different scales of relationship with the city. The façade is organized according to the classical logic of base, shaft, and crown, allowing the building to integrate both with the immediate urban fabric and the broader metropolitan context. Beyond its formal expression, the building is conceived as an active urban element, identifying key points —such as the entrance, the auditorium, and the rooftop— as opportunities to generate public spaces and strengthen its connection with the city.
ORGANIZATION
The building is structured around a clear functional distinction between a compact service core and an open-plan office space. This duality is directly expressed in the façade, giving each component a specific architectural response. The office areas, defined by an open structural grid, promote flexibility, adaptability, and a strong visual relationship with the exterior. In contrast, the compact core concentrates services and circulation, ensuring structural stability and the overall efficiency of the building.
MATERIALITY
The materiality of the façade is guided by criteria of efficiency, sustainability, and environmental control. The service core is resolved through prefabricated white concrete panels, which provide thermal inertia and allow the integration of energy systems, such as a photovoltaic façade on the southwest orientation. In the office areas, the envelope combines a curtain wall system with vertical concrete fins that regulate solar exposure and improve interior comfort. Horizontal elements, such as prefabricated overhangs, reinforce the architectural composition while contributing to solar protection and facilitating maintenance, resulting in a coherent, efficient, and technically integrated façade.
